We are holding our AGM on 2nd July 2025, and we invite you to nominate and join the Mooroolbark Community Garden Committee!

Are you passionate about sustainability, community connection, and transforming shared spaces? The Mooroolbark Community Garden is looking for enthusiastic individuals to join our committee and help shape the future of our vibrant garden.

As a committee member, you'll have the opportunity to:

  • Contribute to meaningful community initiatives that enhance sustainability, local food security, and environmental education.

  • Collaborate with a dedicated team to plan and implement exciting garden projects that bring people together.

  • Help secure funding and resources to support infrastructure improvements and ensure the garden remains a thriving space.

  • Bring creative ideas to life, like workshops that inspire and educate.

  • Engage with the local community—hosting events, welcoming volunteers, and fostering an inclusive environment for everyone.

The Mooroolbark Community Garden is more than just a green space—it’s a hub for learning, connection, and positive change. We actively support local residents by providing a welcoming environment where people can grow fresh produce, share knowledge, and take part in hands-on sustainability efforts. Through workshops, educational sessions, and collaborative events, we aim to empower individuals and strengthen community bonds.

We welcome a variety of skills, including:

  • Organising and fostering collaboration – ensuring our committee thrives with teamwork and shared goals.

  • Practical problem-solving – assisting with infrastructure planning and creative solutions.

  • Community engagement – promoting pride and visibility within our local area.

  • Grant writing and project articulation – helping us secure funding for key improvements.

If you have a passion for sustainability and community building—or simply want to get involved in an inspiring local project—we’d love to hear from you!
